PRENEU (CEO Jong-kyung Lee), a company specializing in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) design and manufacturing, announced that it has been selected as a target enterprise in the defense industry sector for the "2026 Innovation Premier 1000," an initiative spearheaded by South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) and the Financial Services Commission (FSC).

The "Innovation Premier 1000" is a government policy program designed to improve the business environment for defense-related companies with high technological innovation and growth potential. Selected companies receive customized financial support—including loans, guarantees, and investments—via policy financial institutions, alongside comprehensive non-financial support such as international market development and consulting.

PRENEU was selected in the defense industry sector after receiving high marks for its outstanding technological innovation, achievements in localizing core components, and contributions to enhancing national defense weapon systems.

As a UAV specialist, PRENEU independently designs and manufactures autonomous, mission-driven drones. Moving beyond mere airframe manufacturing, the company has accumulated unparalleled technological expertise by in-house developing and localizing critical avionics and warfare systems, including Flight Controllers (FC), D-GPS, Data Links, and Ground Control Systems (GCS).

Having recently proved its localized development capabilities by winning a contract for the Republic of Korea Army's commercial educational drone procurement project, PRENEU is rapidly expanding its presence by showcasing a lineup of high-utility military aircraft, including small suicide (kamikaze) drones, bomb-dropping drones, and attack drones.
